Arusha National Park

Arusha National Park is a popular day trip destination for visitors based in Arusha. Its proximity to the town makes it ideal for short excursions, yet it offers a rich variety of landscapes and wildlife that make it a stand-alone adventure.

Arusha National Park Wildlife

Arusha National Park is home to a wide variety of animals. It hosts the world’s largest population of giraffes. Black and white colobus monkeys and vervet monkeys can often be spotted in the forest canopy. Other mammals include red forest duikers, elephants, buffaloes, hippos, bushbucks, and, rarely, leopards. With over 400 bird species, the park is a paradise for birdwatchers. Game viewing, especially around the Momela Lakes, is at a relaxed and quiet pace, allowing visitors to enjoy wildlife without the crowds.
